Back to School...

I spent today with Jacob doing his back to school shopping. He has been in Mexico the past week with his good friend Cody, and his family. Normally I would have had school shopping finished by now. I usually try to get it done a little early so we aren't at the mall with so many other shoppers. Jake, and I had fun today! We shopped, talked, and had lunch. He picked out some really nice things, and is ready for school to start. He will be a senior this year! I can't believe it! It amazes me how time flys. The kids will go back to school day after tomorrow. We got Sarah's shopping done a few weeks ago. Nate doesn't start back for about 3-4 weeks. I can't believe how fast this summer went by. I could easily take 1 more month of summer. I guess I'll have to wait for next year! :) When do your kids start back to school? Are you ready for summer to end?

Thats right you guys start school soon. My sister lives where you live and they are starting up again. We dont start for a few more weeks. I am starting to feel the Back to school pressure of shopping. I have done bit here and there, but I need to hit that mall and get it done!!! I am excited for it to start so we can have a routine again. I am NOT excited to get up early and get them off in the mornings. I am NOT a morning girl at all. I also have a seminary kid this year for the first time. EEEEK! That is very early. Sounds like you are busy busy over there. Have fun!

How fun for you to spend the day with your son Jacob. Mother and Son day! :)
We will be doing some shopping tonight and for the next few weeks. i need to get the list ready. It is so hard to buy fall clothes, when it is so HOT outside.
Yes, the kids are ready, and so i am for school. We still have a few more weeks. Then it will be back to a routine again.

So sorry i missed your call. I emailed you and i will try to call you soon.

My girls will be starting kindergarten this year. I am half-way to being excited, although, I am so worried for them being in such a non-preschool environment. I can't say I'm all that ready for school to start yet - I've got 25 days left though, I better prepare!

I have to say that I am counting the days...It's been a very long, HOT summer here in Florida! We need routine and structure- Well maybe I just need that!

My son attends a private school and they wear uniforms, so school shopping is pretty easy via Lands End online. I am a total school-supply junkie, however, so I keep buying him fun pencils, notebook paper, etc.

Enjoy your last couple of days!

My girls start in two weeks also, and we are almost ready for school. I picked up the wrong school district supply list (same school name, wrong district), and so I have to return a whole bunch of stuff. UGH! Then we have to do shopping for jeans today and shoes.

I agree w/ donna -- so hard to buy for fall when it's hot out. I probably won't buy much until it is a little cold out (and it's on clearance!).

Yes, I concur, school is starting way TOO soon! We go back to school on the 16th, in just a mere 9 days.

I wish summer would last another month!!

WHAT? you start that soon!?!? we start on the 27th..

i dont usually take the crew out for back to school shopping..they seem to have enough clothes that work..and teachers dont like the kids coming in with stuff..they prefer the parents wait till the teacher provides them with a list of stuff they need..then we go get it then..makes it easy that way!

Thank you for your comment on my blog, I was just reading yours and wanted to let you know (if you still have a kidney stone) that my sister had 3 when she was pregnant and just drank some aloe vera juice every day and they disappeared!

I've never made carrot cake either but you make me want to give it a try!

I can't believe that this summer has gone by so fast. I am so thankful that my kids aren't in school yet. :)

Um...I'll ditch the kids & join you & Janae at a beach house in Newport. Hm...

School is so not a part of my world yet, so year round is simply the same to me with my tiny boys.

I have mixed feelings about summer ending. I am a seasons girl, so I love the coming fall, but then I lose my third grader. It seems once they start all day school they just disappear. at least luke and fletch will only be half a day. :)
