Summer days...
Today has been one of those good ol' summer days! I have an inkling the kids are a little bored today. It is sooo hot outside that we chose to stay home. Ben, and Desirae did swim for a while. They came in, and Dez cut Ben's hair. Jake has pretty much been taking it easy all day. He can't drive because of his cast. Poor guy! Sarah had an orthodontist appt. this afternoon. We went there, and straight back home. I think the high today is supposed to be 113! When it is like that, home is the place to be. Nate is actually working out in it today! He works at a golf course. I am really feeling for him right now. The upside to working at the golf course is, he gets free golf. We where paying for him to play 5-6 days a week. Now it is FREE! Hopefully he is able to be indoors some today while he is at work. I keep reminding him to drink, drink, drink. What do you do when you are indoors with the kids? I am looking for some fun summer things to do at home. We just put in a movie for them to watch.

Your house is the house that I would want to be lounging in everyday :D. It's beautiful!!!
I'm not sure what you do with older kids in the house all day. I can imagine that sleep may be on the top of any teenagers list. Have fun whatever you end up doing.
I have been staying in a lot lately here, and it's been only about 100, 104 out! Yuck! Nice idea with Nate working at a golf course...save you tons of money while he makes some, too! I love summer and movie watching. I feel a little lazy, but I'm just trying to enjoy the break!
113. OK girl, I don't miss those hot days. Last week our high was 108 and I almost died.
Today it was only 96. Oh so sweet :)
On hot days, my kids play board games, watch movies, read, and play Xbox 360. Emily will bake. Oh and they will fight with each other. That is always so much fun. I will try to get them out of the house for a little during the day. Today we did some errands, and then we went swimming at my in laws. Ok I think I am done with my letter. I always have so much to talk to you about. I just need to call you this week. Oh my parents are coming up in 5 days!!!!! STRESS
I love all of the fun pictures you are putting on your blog. It has been so nice here lately. We are spoiled out here in N. Cal. I am sure the hot days are coming though. Stay cool!
Summer is a hard time here in AZ- Doesn't matter how old they are -it's hard to entertain kids. Swimming and movies- can't go wrong!
first of all, I love your new banner. It's gorgeous and looks so inviting to me. Second, 113! Ick. I think we were around 105 today and it almost killed me. Ryley is bored because I won't let her play outside in this kind of heat. We splash a little in her pool and that is about it. Yuck!
I feel like we have been staying in so much because of the heat. I don't like taking the baby out in it. We always bake when we are in like that. THe kids love to help bake something. Movies are also a must to.
Hope we both get some releif from this heat soon!!
Sounds like you had the right idea with the movie. :D I would be living on otter pops if I were down there.
I so love your son's magenta cast!
Oh man is it hot or what? This storm tonight is pretty nice though. Yeah, it was a little boring todau. :) Haha. Oh Well! The lamps you made were so cute! I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK!
We also choose to stay inside quite a bit...our highs are in the high 90's, but the humidity makes it "feel" like 104! It's awful!!!
Crafts, pool, movies...that is our mantra for the summer too! Oh, and there's always some schoolwork if they are REALLY bored! lol!
your home is so pretty! I wouldn't know what to do with it being that hot! that would be so hard! I guess staying in is the best option! hope nate stayed cool! that would be miserable.. but yeah for free golf!
when it is raining here and we can't go out my kids are still young enough to play with toys.. or my girls love to make something.. anything.. Ems loves to try to sew.. a movie and not moving sounds good too!
We're home! I know Chloe & Sarah were texting ;)
We hit the desert and felt our car windows -yikes!
Wow, 113, yikes - too hot. When we lived in Lancaster, CA in the mojave it was just as hot and horrible. Are you getting the humidity yet or any rain? Hope you stay cool. Cute pics btw!
113???? Yikes! It was 100 at our YW camp and we all melted. I don't even know what I'd do in heat like yours.
