Chelle's wedding...

I have been busy this weekend doing laundry, and starting to pack. Some of us are headed to Chicago on Tuesday. We will spend a few days there, then travel to Indiana. My step sister Chelle, is going to be celebrating marriage with her new husband Jim! We are all looking forward to being together as family! I have never met Jim before. I have heard only good things about him, in the past few years. We will spend the 4Th of July in Indiana! I have never been there before! I did a Google search, to see were abouts we will be. It looks like beautiful green country! Have you ever been to Chicago, or Indiana? I have never been to either, and would love any fun ideas of places to visit while in Chicago! :)

Fun! I haven't been to either state. You could probably hit some small town Fireworks celebration though! It will be fun to have a family reunion, of sorts. See you when you get back! I'm dying to craft - I had a sudden urge yesterday!

I have been to Chicago a couple times! I know you will have fun.. it's KINDA like New York!!

But you should definitely see the Buckingham Fountain.. it's HUGE!!!
The Sears Tower skydeck is neat... it scares me though since I am afraid of heights.

The Shedd Aquarium is really cool too or the Hancock observatory. I like that place because you can get at the Cheesecake factory right after since it's in the lower level!!
Navy Pier has a children's museum and you can also take a boat ride on Lake Michigan.. (isn't Christopher going?) Navy Pier also has a free firework show every Wednesday & Saturday night.
Lake Michigan beach is cool too!

The Lincoln Park zoo doesn't cost anything..
The Museum of Science and Industry is really awesome!!

K!! Hope this helps!!!
Have fun!!! :)

Navy pier is great and we went an architectural tour by boat- that was fun- you can get the best steaks on Rush street- if you wabt great shopping you can go downtown to what I call the miracle mile they have all the stores we don't have down here. if you have extra time- it takes about 5 hrs- drive to Nauvoo- it is soooo worth it.

I've been to Chicago twice, but you need to go see the Aquarium.... they have Beluga whales there that are just precious!! I know your daughter is too old, but the American Girl store is also there, so head down Michigan Avenue for some good shopping. :) Can you try for Oprah tickets?

Oh I love Chicago. You must go to Garretts Popcorn located right on the main shopping strip- Michigan Avenue. Get both the cheese popcorn and the carmel popcorn- not together, although they are great together. It is SO yummy. Wear comfortable shoes cause you can do some serious walking on Michigan Ave. If you have time you should see Wicked...it is a MUST! The Chicago cast is unbelievable. Navy Pier is fun...you can take a boat ride out on the lake and see downtown Chicago...especially cool at night when all the lights are on.
I've only been to Indiana 2 times but don't have any advice to offer on it. Pretty place. You will be amazed at how green it is.
Have fun!

Rob and I vacationed to chicago 3 years ago and it is still one of my favorite vacations ever! We were there for 4 days and had a blast! we did a chartered city tour, but that took all day- not that i didnt like it, cause it was super fun, its just an all day activity! we went to the sears tower, and i am afraid of tall buildings, so i freaked out during that, but rob had fun! navy pier was a blast and had a lot to do and eat, we saw a white sox and cubs game, which was fun if youre into baseball like my husband is!My favorite part was walking around and just taking it all in. we walked every night around the magnificent mile (which was great for shopping too!)Chicago is a fun city! I liked it more than new york! have fun!
