Girls Camp
So Fun!
The girls in my cabin.
Our cabin
It felt so good to sleep in my own bed last night! I have been at Girls Camp since Tuesday morning. We rolled back into town yesterday around noon. I have to admit, I was one happy person! Girls camp was wonderful! Our camp was in Strawberry Arizona. It is only about an hour, and a half from my house. The theme this year was, Once Upon a Princess! This was such a fitting theme for these girls. Camp is such a great thing for these girls. I am not sure of the total amount of girls that attended this year. I am sure there were a few hundred. They get spiritually fed, have fun, dance, laugh, run, eat. sleep...a little, hike, sing, perform skits, enjoy the outdoors, crafts, etc. The main purpose though is to let them know that they are loved. That they are wonderful, and our Heavenly Father does think they are all princesses. It is a wonderful things to see, and be involved in. I feel so blessed that Sarah is able to attend something so positive! It was fun to be at camp with her! Here are some pictures of our adventure! :)

Great photos! You look too good to have been at camp all week! Hope that was your first day photo! HA! I am a cabin Mom for the YCL's - any suggestions on a FHE that I have to do for all the YCL's? Did you do an activity? Lesson? Games? Treats? - this is my first year since "I" was a young girl!
Michelle, it looks like so much fun. What a great experience to be with your daughter. I love the theme too. They always need to be reminded of their worth.
You have such a postitive outlook on life, and it radiates in your pictures. Thanks so much for sharing this time and I know how special those times our in our memory boxes. Welcome Home to our beds though.

It was great to get together for dinner! I wish we could have chatted more! We need to get together again SOON!
OK, did you guys really have covered CABINS?! I'm going next week and will be in a sleeping bag (in a tent) for FIVE DAYS. Can you tell I need an attitude adjustment??? sigh...
i have yet to get back to girls camp since i was in girls camp--ill never forget my experiences, the 1st i had potty problems (diarhea) and it was back in the day when we had to DIG OUR OWN TOILETS!!! MY have things changed! another year i got lost in the los angeles national forest (oops) and spent the night out with 2 other girls ALL NIGHT LONG with emergency everything searching for us-followed by being spotted FINALLY by a helicopter to rescue us..huh...duh maybe THATS why i havent been invited back as a LEADER for girls camp?!?!?!
Looks like you had one fun time!!! I am also going to girl's camp on a few weeks..
What a great theme.. Did you go to camp Lomia? This is the 1st year I didn't go in 5 yrs. I was so glad to not have to go...
