sewing...wish me luck! :)

I have been inspired to make an attempt at sewing! :)

I have noticed in the last few days that I have really been inspired by reading others blogs. I always have an ongoing list going, of things I would like to do. This week it seems like that list has gotten longer. I have read about wonderful recipes, dinner menus, organizational skills, photography, sewing, etc. Well, after all of my reading, etc. I am pulling out my sewing machine. I am sure that there is much dust that needs to be wiped off of it. I don't think I have sewn in probably 15 years or so. I have never been a seamstress! I remember taking Home Ec. in school. I took sewing two times, and always struggled thru it. This weekend I am going to attempt a swimsuit cover-up. I bought the material, and am ready to make a go of it. Wish me luck! :)

Good luck! Sewing can be challenging!

I think I'm going to get one of those Hapari swimsuit's you posted about! They are SO cute! I like the Giraffe print one.

Good for you! James bought me a sewing machine when Molly was born, 14 years ago - I have never used it! I have loaned it out and gotten maintenance on it but have never even learned how to thread it. Oh well!

I wish I knew how to sew. I remember taking a class when I was like 12 or 13 at the near by mall but I must have forgot everything because I can't even sew on a button. Well, I can but it's not very pretty!! Have fun and post what you make for all of us to see!!

For a moment, I thought I read you were going to sew a swimsuit... not a swimsuit cover-up. Now, that would be some skills. hehe.

Good luck.

I used to sew all the time and then ran out of time to do those fun projects. Maybe, your project and seeing it done will inspire me!

Wow, good luck. I enjoy sewing. I am learning to embroider, too. Got a sweet little machine a few years ago. I wish I had more time (and money) to do it, though!
Hey, did you see my 'big' news yesterday? Come see me again. I love your comments. :o)

That is super Michelle. I am going to get my 10 yr old a sewing machine for Christmas. I feel it is never to young to start and I think I want her to learn that skill. I can't wait for the picture of the darling swimsuit cover. You've inspired me too.

Conference was fantastic huh? Loved it so much. Take Care.

Good luck with all of the sewing. I wish I could sew better but no such luck. I have a machine but it just collects dust also.
