the worst wife...

I think I just won the award for the worst wife! This morning I got up, walked into the kitchen, and got a little breakfast. It consisted of a banana, and yogurt. I ate them both, and didn't give a second thought about it. Steve asked me a few minutes later how I liked my yogurt? I told him it was pretty good. Then I kind of thought, why is he asking me a question like this so early in the morning. Well, the date on the yogurts we ate had expiration dates of over 2 months ago. The morning went on, kids went to school, Steve to work etc. I was sitting at my desk in the kitchen when I heard the back door open. It was my poor husband sicker than a dog!!! He has been sick all morning! I had just bought yogurt at the store last week. I took a look at them, and they where a different brand. So to make a long story short a few yogurts had gone unnoticed, and have had a place in the fridge for a few months now! Ugghhh! The kids have a half of a day today. I think I will take them to do something when they get home. Hopefully Steve can get some sleep. I am feeling lucky that I don't have the symptoms Steve has. Have you ever done something that you find yourself shaking your head at? Today is one of those days for me. P.S. American Idol is tonight! Last night was pretty good. I think Chris may have blown it for himself with his comment to Simone. Sanjya has to GOOOOO! :)

That is awful!! I feel bad for Steve. That is easy to have happen with so many other things going on in life.

I agree with Sanjaya....he was awful! I can't wait to see who leaves tonight.

AAH! I hope you don't get sick from that yogurt. I just cleaned out my fridge and found some frightening things. How do they get lost in there?

Since I am two hours ahead and AI just ended do you want me just to tell you???

Yikes. I have huge dairy expiration issues. I throw milk out the day of... And, YES!, I daily do things that make me wonder about my sanity. Seriously. Daily. Sometimes bi-daily. Often tri-daily.

Oh...and I love your cute little SPT shoes below.

hi michelle: ah, poor baby, hope he feels better soon. you are not a bad wife, i am sure :)

i had a shake my head at myself moment tonight. i almost caused a 2 to 4 car accident on a highway on the way home. i feel very grateful that we were all totally safe. it scared me for a second though when i realized what i did and what could've likely happened. so glad i backed off when i noticed and so glad that others around me were paying attention and backed off also. tonight i am grateful for aware drivers who were near me.

count your blessings :)

PS. i hate yogurt :)

3 things -
yes, old undetected food is the worst. It's the small things like a yogurt or cream cheese that one might not notice.

did you do anything fun afterschool -just your daughter, or who else?

i like simon. not because he's a bit harsh, but he's always right on & honest -blake bugs me.just a personal thing.chris can't sing. if i had to listen to those 2 songs again i might have to scream.
it just shows you, country music is hard to sing -good! melinda & jordan ROCK! & if i was simon i TOO would have shown that video clip -showing I would never roll my eyes at a comment on the mass shooting!

That's it.happy Thursday-Janae

EEKS! I had no clue people can get sick off of old yogurt! I had stocked up on some months ago when they were 25 cents each, when we were in a yogurt mood. I finally threw them out a few weeks ago, 2 months past expiration. I'll have to be more careful. You probably have a cast iron stomach like me. :)

PS Cute shoes!

WOW, had no idea about Simon's eye roll but clicked on your link! Crazy!
Scary about the yogurt, I am a freak about those things so that would be my worst nightmare, lol.
