painting...

This is the room that needs a splash of color!

I have been wanting to paint the front room for some time now. The bug has struck me! The painting bug that is! I have been looking for a mossy green paint. I have had the color in my mind, but couldn't quite find what I was looking for. Yesterday was the day! I came home, and painted a poster board with the paint I found. I also did this with another color I thought would work. Then I left the board in the room all day. I was trying to see what the color would look like with the light shining on it. I like it in the sun, and at nigt. It's a keeper! I am planning on starting to paint this weekend. I need to tape of the room before then. I can't wait! I LOVE color, and this room has never been quite right to me. I like the room, just not the walls! :) Are any of you working on any house projects right now? I would love to hear about them. :)

I love green in my home! I had a mossy green bedroom in Florida and loved it! I think that I will repaint my house too this year! Can't wait to see the new room!

Sounds like that will be a beautiful color for that room! I'm still picking away at the wallpaper in my girl's room. It's going to be Hannah Montana Lavendar with a rock star/princess theme (chosen by the 10 year old).

Michelle, I painted my living room/formal dining room a mossy green a few years back and I still love it. I haven't grown tired of it yet. I have chair rails up around the rooms and only painted the top half green. The bottom half was left off white.

Good luck with the painting. I need to do some painting here myself in the very near future. We just put in granite and now the kitchen/bar/laundry needs touch-up work badly.

Don't work to hard and don't forget to show us the after pictures too!

I LOVE Mossy Green! That is the hue I want for my master bedroom. We will do the green on the top and the "picture frame" moulding on the bottom, leaving the bottom white.

What exact color of green did you get and what brand? I haven't found that "perfect" color for me yet, but I've brought home a bunch of "swatches"!

Can't wait to see your room!

Ooh I can't wait to see it. Green is one of my favorite colors and I would paint my entire house in a different shade of it, if that wouldn't be strange. :)
