My boy Jake

What a day Jake had yesterday. He had a Dr.'s appointment in the afternoon. He has been struggling with his ankle, and foot now for over 1 1/2 years. We have had 3 surgeries, and just found out yesterday that Jake will be having another one. So we left our appointment, and headed for home. While we were driving, we discussed what the next months will bring etc. My heart really goes out for Jacob. He has been the best patient, yet has grown frustrated. I totally don't blame him. We got home, and decided we would go eat at Cafe Rio. I really just didn't feel like cooking. Well, it was time to leave, and no Jake??? To make a long story short he had taken a ride around the neighborhood on his pocket bike. This is nothing abnormal. I got in the car to go look for him. I took the corner, out of our cul de sac, and saw that he had been pulled over by the police on his little bike! Poor kid! No one told us but these little bikes are now illegal to ride in the town limits! The day ended good with a yummy dinner, but oh what a day!

So sorry about Jake! I'm sure it is frustrating! I hope Cafe Rio made things just a little better (how I wish we had one in Tucson!)

So sorry to hear that he has to have another surgery. Poor kid. And then to top off the day with a ticket...bummer. We have all had those kinds of days. I hope the surgery goes well and he can move on.

And what a terrible ending to what started out as not too great...being pulled over is never fun! Glad that you were able to eat out~ that always lifts my spirits!

Wow, that stinks. Where the heck are you allowed to ride those things then? I'm hoping that they just gave him a warning instead of a ticket. Did a good dinner make him feel any better?

Poor guy! And being pulled over simply adds insult to (literal!) injury. I imagine you're the best kind of mom to have at times like that...you seem so loving, supportive & easy-going.

What a way to top off the news of another surgery. My husband always rides his dirt bike up and down our street and I just know he's going to get a ticket and he knows full well that it's illegal to ride it but does anyway. I hope everything goes will with the surgery.
