Classic books

I decided that this year was going to be the year to read books, that I have always wanted to, but haven't. When I was younger I must have been busy reading Little House on the Prairie books, and Beverly Cleary books. It seems like I read very little of the classic books. The kind of books that have been around for years. Today I finished Anne of Green Gables. That is such a sweet book. I am so glad I read it! The next book I will be reading is Heidi. I can't wait to start it! We are up at the cabin this weekend, a perfect place to read.

I just got the collection of Anne of Green Gables. I grew up watching the movies and love them. I should try reading the books. I am so out of it when it comes to books. I need to read more. I miss it.

Good for you for setting a goal to do lots of reading this year! I must admit I subscribe to way too many magazines and I do not do enough book reading, especially the classics.

My oldest daughter is really into reading the classics -- totally opposite of what I read growing up: Sweet Valley High, Beverly Cleary, etc. I think that's a fantastic goal!!

Have a great time at the cabin!! Stay warm!

I too love a good classic. You have to read Little Woman!Such a sweet book about the love of sisters and you know I a sap for a sister book!!!

I am in a huge reading mood! I am on my third novel this week, 4th for the year already. I think there is nothing better then to read all we can while we still can. It will be a sad day in teh retirement home when my eyes give out and I can no longer read the words of a talented author. I am blessed to have discovered the joys of reading .what an escape a good book can be!
