Mesa Temple Christmas lights
Last night we decided to brave the weather, and continue on with our plans. We bundled up, and were on our way. We have a tradition to eat at El Charro, before we see the temple lights. We do eat there countless times during the year too. This is a restaurant that I have been going to since I was a baby. My kids have been going since they were babies. My Mom has gone since she was a young girl. This for sure is our family favorite!
We then headed to the temple. It was cold, and rainy. We still had a wonderful time. The lights were so beautiful. There is something so special about walking around the temple looking at the beautiful lights. Such a special feeling.
We ended our night by watching a movie Jake recommended in the Visitors Center. Jake had seen this movie with the Young Men from our ward a few months ago. I can't remember the name of it. It was such a sweet movie. We then decided it was time to go home, and get warm. It was a wonderful time. Desirae was the only one that couldn't join us. She had to work last night. We sure did miss her.

I emailed you last night. Did you get it?
I am so sorry i missed your call. I will call you today.
I can't remember if I ever responded to the comment you left on my blog....Sorry if I haven't. I remember Kristen telling me that she ran into a blog friend when she was here visiting, but I wasn't shopping with her that day. We must live pretty close because El Charro is just down the street from where I live. I've never been there, but everyone seems to love it. We need to do the temple lights still this year. I love driving by the Temple and seeing how beautiful the grounds look all lit up.

very fun family night! gotta love the longtime family faves.
I miss going by a temple that decorates like this - it's beautiful. I'm not sure if it's my screen, but I'm having so much trouble reading the read on green! Anyway, lovely post and hope you are doing well :)
we are taking the youth for mutual next week, and I am so excited! i have never seen the mesa temple at christmas, so this will be a first for me. our family used to have the tradition of seeing the LA temple lights each year, so maybe mesa will be our next tradition.

Oh how I love El Charro!! I can taste their sour cream enchiladas now! I am so jazzed to be visiting AZ for Christmas and getting to see the lights.
