I love this kid!

taking it all in

Nate enjoying his morning

I couldn't resist taking these pictures of Nate. Nate has had a love for golf since he was a little boy. He has been enjoying watching the U.S. Open this morning. Nate has been playing competitive golf for about 10 years. For the past 10 years he has spent a huge amount of his youth, at the golf course. He has the natural ability to play strong, hard, and good! I never have known a kid that has so much determination to succeed in a sport. He spends many of his days on the course in 110 weather. There have been many weeks, months that he has, played 6 days a week. It used to scare me that he would get heat stroke! We could have never ever talked him into staying off of the course. We just make sure he has tons of water, and Gatorade! In the next few weeks Nate will be playing in the AZ. Amateur tournament, and Gateway tournament. Right now he seems to have passed up most pros at the courses he plays at. He currently has a handicap of 4!!! I am documenting this to let Nate know how much we love him! How proud we are for all of his years of very hard work. I want Nathaniel to know that he has taught me so much. He has set such a strong example of determination, and drive. He has also taught me that if you really do stick with something no matter what, dreams can come true. I want him to know that I thank him for what he has displayed, as hard work, and determination. Naters if you are reading this know I am SOOOO proud of you, and love you more than my words can ever express.

Nate sounds like a good guy (and a handsome one too) :) What a sweet post...I can't believe how good he is at golf! My husband also LOVES to golf. It's a competitive sport.
How cool would that be if Nate went pro!!!

Good luck to Nate! How cool is that that he's that good? I know nothing about golf so the whole handicap doesn't make sense, but passing up the pros -- I do understand that! Way to go!

How cool! Good luck to Nate! My hubby is a golf addict too - but he has just started really playing in the last 18 months. He's not very good! lol! But he enjoys it and is getting better all the time.

I love how much you show AND tell your family how much love them!

I bookmarked that fun website and can't wait to really look through it!

What a stud! From a girl who has made many 'attempts' to play golf and have married into a major golfing family, I can appreciate what hard work, determination, dedication and practice, practice, practice it takes to play well. Did I mention the patience? Holy Cow! Go Nate!
