A busy weekend...

We have had a crazy busy weekend. I am so glad that things have quieted down. We had a dear friend pass away this week, Jamie Pottle. Jamie has been a friend of ours for years. We have so many fun memories with her, her sweet husband Joe, and 4 darling children. Joe, and Jamie would have been married 25 years this year. Steve, and I went to the services yesterday. We both really struggled. Steve wouldn't want to admit it, but he had a hard time. He is tough on the outside, and so tender in the inside. I kept thinking about Joe, and his 4 children. My heart hurt so bad. Jamie suffered from cancer for 5 1/2 years. Joe was right by her side. I kept thinking about my life. What would I do if this was me? The thought can be horrifying. I left the long emotional day being thankful. Thankful for my health, for my life as it is. I am so blessed with a wonderful husband. I have four amazing children, and a precious daughter in law. I have the gospel, and a Heavenly Father that loves me. For all of this I feel incredibly blessed. W got home, and the kids where getting hungry. We decided to go to BJ's. We sat, and ate, and visited. On the way home Steve had to stop by Sports Authority. He needed to get a few things for his trip to Utah today. Her are some pictures of the group before we headed home. These kids can crack me up! :)

Nate wanting to get out of there... :)

Aren't they quite the group?

Michelle, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so hard to lose such a good friend, we have lost 2 people close to us in the past 2 1/2 years, it's so hard. Hope you get feeling better!

I am so sorry- death is never an easy thing, that is for sure. Cancer is so devastating, I want to hug my kids and husband extra hard tonight! Really makes you grateful for what you have...

That is always such an eye-opener when someone you care about passes away...especially someone that is so similar to you. Glad that you are appreciating and loving your family!

so sorry to hear about your friend! it's never easy to understand or accept these sort of things but having the gospel sure makes it more reassuring that HF does have a plan for all of us and that we can be a forever family!

hugs sweet friend!

We are so sorry for your loss. What a great example that husband was, sticking by her and taking care of her in a loving way.

The pictures of the kids are funny. They get bored so easily. At least they were able to find somewhere to sit and relax

I am so sorry for your loss. That is an incredible hard thing to go through. One of my closest friends died several years ago, a sudden death, and she left behind 5 young children. It was very hard to get through the funeral. I love the new picture!! So fun!!

Funerals are always so hard...even with the gospel. I can't imagine without it!
